Jakkia served a role as a counselor and targeted case manager at a facility in Bluffton, South Carolina. The facility offers Psychotherapy and Counseling Services to all individuals and strives to provide and help everyone manage the most common mental health problems for Adolescents/Children/Teens/Families.

Jakkia has worked with all age ranges of people who have Autism, (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder-ADHD), (Attention Deficit Disorder-ADD), Alzheimer’s Disease, Bipolar Disorder, Couples Counseling, Depression, Early Childhood Mental Health, Grief and Loss, Kleefstra Syndrome, Oppositional Defiant, Stress Management, and Trauma/Crisis).

Jakkia worked as a Professional School Counseling intern in both Primary and Secondary school settings assisting all students grade Pre-K -12th. Jakkia is currently an Behavioral technician and Executive director at a Neurobehavioral Solutions center in Miami, Florida.
